Invitation to Submit a Tender
Re: Various Lift Controller Replacements (V00), Gold Coast and Logan campuses
You are invited to submit a Tender to carry out all works associated with the Lift Controller Replacements, L03, L05 & L08 Logan campus and G06, G10, G12 & G14 Gold Coast campus, Griffith University.
Tenders close at 2:00pm on Friday, 3 September 2021 via the QTenders link associated with this project in accordance with the Conditions of Tender. A Tender submitted late or by any other means than that nominated may not be accepted.
Please note that Tenders will not be opened publicly.

Any queries relating to the tender documents including drawings and specifications (if any) shall be submitted via the QTenders link associated with this project.
You are required to check that all Tender documents received match those listed on the accompanying Document Transmittal. Confirmation that you have received all the documents listed is to be provided to the Principal by signing a copy of the Transmittal where provided and returning it to the Principal in accordance with the requirements of the General Conditions of Tendering.
If you are unable to submit at Tender for whatever reason, you are requested to notify the person nominated above in writing stating the reason prior to the tender close date. This will assist me in preparing the tender evaluation, and will maintain your standing with the University as a potential tenderer for future works.
A site visit for each campus will be arranged in line with COVID19 restrictions:
Logan campus: Tuesday 17 August 2021, 10:00am – 12:00pm
Gold Coast campus: Tuesday 17 August 2021, 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Contractors in attendance shall not bring more than two (2) representatives and shall RSVP one (1) business day prior. Every attendee shall adhere to relevant COVID19 regulations.
No additional costs will be approved by the Superintendent or paid by the Principal due to any failure on your part to appreciate the extent of the project and its impact on adjacent buildings or facilities, or to evaluate any constraints on access to the site of the works.
The lift upgrades works are to be carried out in a “live environment” comprising of student classes, research activities, university staff and public visitors. The Tender Lift Controller Replacement Program sets out and indicative program. The Tenderer shall submit a high level construction program identifying all works and lead-times. The University will review the program and may request changes based on operational requirements. Where possible the tenderer shall aim to commence the works from 1/11/21 to complete the works during the University’s Trimester 3 when student numbers are lower.
Griffith University will offer the works as a contract with separable portions and requires the works be delivered as Separable Portions (SP) (i.e. SP1 & SP2).

- L03 Lift 03, L03 Lift 04, L05 Lift 01, and L05 Lift 02
- Option: L08 Lift 05.
Separable Portion 2 – Gold Coast campus
- G06 Lift, G10 Lift, G12 Lift, and G14 LifT.
