Principal Design Consultant, Cairns Tropical Enterprise Centre
You are invited to submit a tender to provide Principal Design Consultant (PDC) services for the Cairns Tropical Enterprise Centre (CTEC) to be constructed in Far North Queensland Health & Innovation Precinct (FNQHIP situated in Cairns North. JCU’s Cairns Tropical Enterprise Centre (CTEC) will be the first (foundation) development within the precinct.
CTEC is proposed to be an approximate 4,000sqm multi-story education and research facility. The procurement strategy is a Design, Novate and Construct model, with the PDC team novating to the Principal Contractor on 70% completion of Design Development phase. However, PDC fees are required to be submitted and itemised for all project stages from inception to completion, including the break-up for DD.
The sub-consultant design team will be procured, engaged and managed by the successful PDC, within 6 weeks of the PDC being engaged by JCU. Consequently, sub-consultant submissions and pricing are specifically excluded from this current tender. This is a change to the package released for Expression of Interest (EOI).
