INVITATION TO SUBMIT A TENDER

You are invited to submit a Tender for the execution and completion of the works described below in accordance with the Drawings and Specification (if any) supplied herewith, the Griffith University Conditions of Tender & Conditions of Contract for ‘Minor Works’ herein, and any other information issued by the Principal for the purposes of tendering.

Description of Works:

The project requirement is to deliver a fenced, serviced, concrete hardstand compound.  Primary works are site excavation, trenching to accommodate delivery of Electrical, Data, and Water line to the compound.  The floorplate is a bunded concrete slab, min 20 MPA, with accommodation for liquid waste management to flow to an underground holding tank. The compound will be secured by a gated perimeter fence, providing access to pedestrian users and also vehicular access. Vehicular access is by way of delivery of a new driveway to form part of the construction project.

  • The Contract is a Lump Sum Fixed Price not subject to adjustment for rise and fall in costs.
  • Tenders shall remain valid for 30 calendar days.
  • The tenders will not be opened publicly.
  • Tenders will be evaluated in accordance with the following Criteria and weightings, and tenderers are required to address these criteria in their tender submission;
  • Construction program (30%) – Include scope coordination as detailed above
  • Contractor’s key resources (10%) – Provide names and qualifications of proposed site management and support staff together with details of any previous experience in working on a University campus. GU reserves the right to reject any nominated person and request an alternative nomination.
  • Construction Methodology (10%) – (nominate any specific construction activities which require particular attention due to difficulty, safety, noise and the like) 
  • Price (50%) – Tenderers must complete the Form of Tender – Appendix 1 and submit as per of the return tender package.
