Supply of Transport Modelling for the Commonwealth Games
Transport and Main Roads requires a transport modelling consultant to develop a transport model fit for purpose for use in planning for the 2018 Commonwealth Games (hereafter referred to as the “Games”) on the Gold Coast. The successful consultant will be required to work with the Modelling, Data & Analysis Centre (MDAC) to develop a validated base year 2011 transport model, along with a 2018 forecast model based on the existing Gold Coast and South-East Qld Strategic Multi-Modal Models.
The model will need to accurately forecast base demand on the network at the time of the Games in 2018, with separate Games demand specific forecasts to be “bolted on” to the model described above. The Games demand forecast is being developed as part of a separate procurement underway and managed by TMR.
