Extension of Closing Date

We apologise for the late extension to the closing date for tender CMLR2012006. The date was extended due to our inability to post responses to some submitted questions within a timeframe that would allow due consideration of the responses.

For those companies that have already submitted responses, should they wish to submit a revised response before the new closing date of 11am, Monday 10th December, please be advised that those quotes will be accepted and considered.

No further extensions will be granted.

Contactless Water Flow Monitoring Sensor Stations

Tender for 4 independent flowmeter monitoring stations for the measurement of water flow through a v-notch weir (60 degree opening). The sensor station consists of a sensor, datalogger, rechargeable battery and photovoltaic cells for recharge. The datalogger has to have a capability to download stored data remotely.
Water quality/flow: the water quality can be saline or acidic. A requirement for the sensor station is therefore a contactless measurement of the water flow through the v-notch weir. The occurrence of water flow is directly linked to rainfall. The stations will be installed at a flood proof location.
Location: the sensor stations are located at a site in northern QLD and secure from public access. The sensor stations have easy access for installation. Distance between datalogger and sensor is approx. 3-5m. The 4 stations are max. 100m apart from each other and part of an experimental plot.
Solar radiation: solar radiation is not affected by shading objects and is only reduced over short periods of times by clouded weather situations (approx. <5 days continuously). Solar radiation is intense and shading may be required for sensors (currently no housing is provided for sensors and would need to be part of the quote if necessary).
Data transfer: a telemetry system on basis of NextG; data transfer to a ftp server/email or similar; automated data upload >1 time/day.
The following sensors and support is required:
• 4 x ultrasonic sensors for continuous water level measurement at a v-notch weir
• 4 x datalogger
• 4 x rechargeable batteries
• 4 x solar panel power supply + charge regulator
• 4 x housing (where required; only small box size, no walk-in) and mounting device for datalogger/batteries/solar panels (supply only; no particular requirements); no post
• Telemetry for remote data download, and datalogger control for all dataloggers
• Resolution < 3mm (0.2%)
• Height range for measurement: 0.05m (0m)-1m
• Recordable time interval: minimum 3 minutes
• Supply only of sensor stations
