Conservation Works to the Verandah of the Heritage Listed former Queensland National Bank Building at Irvinebank
The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) is trustee of lot 8 on SP171845, and the former Queensland National Bank Building therein. The Queensland National Bank (former) is entered in the State Heritage Register and is subject to the development provisions of the Queensland Heritage Act 1992. The old building is deteriorated and in need of immediate repairs. DERM has been allocated State funding for the conservation works of this building to preserve the structure for future generations. Priority is given to the front (NW) verandah of the building as the first stage in the rehabilitation process.
