View Contract Details

Transport and Main Roads requires a consultant to provide expert advice on the potential for the prescribed occupational exposure standards for asbestos to be exceeded in a given set of scenarios.

The consultant will be required to:
1. Review the following documents:
a) Location reference, including building floor plan for level 11 of Spring Hill Office Complex (SHOC) (Attachment A)
b) Building asbestos audit report for 2011 (Attachment B)
c) Building asbestos audit report for 2008 (Attachment C)
d) Exposure scenarios (Attachment D)
e) Asbestos report for 2011 prior to remediation of level 11 (Attachment E)
2. Attend a briefing with TMR to discuss the review documents and:
a) Identify any additional information required to deliver the services
b) Identify any additional scenarios to be included for analysis
3. Conduct a site visit to SHOC.
4. Provide expert and evidence-based advice and/or findings on:
a) The risk to workers and others from exposure to asbestos airborne fibres for each of the scenarios, including whether or not the occupational exposure standard was likely to have been exceeded
b) For each scenario, factors that would increase or decrease the risk, and
c) Any location, activities or workers where a significant risk from asbestos has been observed or determined.
