Mackay Regional Council (Council) has recently approved the introduction of a Digitisation Disposal Policy, which enables the digitisation and subsequent disposal of paper based records currently held by Council.
Council have approximately 55,000 paper-based house connection plan files held in storage at Council’s Administrative building in Gordon Street, Mackay.
Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified businesses to scan these paper-based records onto CD/DVD for uploading by Council into its record management system (ECM).
