Construction and Delivery of Three 22m (Class 1) Aluminium Catamarans

The Queensland Police Service is inviting offers from interested parties to construct and deliver three 22m (Class 1) Aluminium Catamarans. These vessels will replace existing vessels in Thursday Island, Townsville and Whitsundays.

As part of the invitation process, all potential Offerors are invited to attend a site briefing and vessel inspection on 9th and 10th January 2013 at Brisbane Water Police, 1 Howard Smith Drive, Lytton Qld. All potential Offerors are required to register their interest in attending by no later than 2pm on 20th December 2012 to QPS.Procurement@police.qld.gov.au (Attention Tecola Carter).

All offers were evaluated and assessed against the evaluation criteria identified within the Invitation to Offer document and in accordance with the agreed evaluation methodology. Pricing schedules were evaluated individually separate and at the conclusion of the technical evaluation. Conventional contract (one off procurement)
Each vessel will be constructed and delivered in acccordance with an agreed build schedule.
Each vessel with be built against an agreed inspection and test plan together with sea trials and compliance checks prior to acceptance.
Contract performace will be managed in strict accordance with the specificatrion and conditions contained in the Invitation to Offer document. Progress/performance reports are required with regular stakeholder meetings and site visits. Sea trials will be conducted and reported upon. An independent marine surveyor will also inspect the vessel build for quality and compliance.<br /><br />
