Wave Study for River Heads
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) requires collecting design data for a potential new pontoon or floating walkway at River Heads, near the mouth of the Mary River, in the Wide Bay Region, Queensland. Since the site is exposed to storm surges, cyclones and wind waves (from the Great Sandy Straits and within the lower reaches of the Mary River); it was decided to commission a wave and water level assessment on which to base the design for a potential new pontoon or floating walkway.
