The Queensland Government's Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (Queensland Code) applies to this project.
Prequalification levels applicable to the contract are R2 and F3
Stage 1 works will include the upgrade and widening of Gatton-Esk Road starting at Ch 1900.00m and continuing for just under 2.0 km, terminating at Ch 3896.65m. The construction works will include excavating and replacing the existing subbase material prior to placing and compacting new pavement material. The new road width will increase up to 10m at certain locations from its present-day width. Additional works will involve the upgrade and widening of the junction between Redbank Creek Road and Gatton-Esk Road as well as including water main diversionary works to take place at the junctions between Gatton-Esk Road with Orchard Road, Seilers Road, Water View Cresent and Redbank Creek Road.
