The Speed Management Program is to improve road safety and reduce the incidence of excessive speed related crashes. Crashes as a result of exceeding the speed limit usually result in injury to persons and extensive vehicle/property damage resulting in significant social costs. The QPS is responsible for and has a commitment to Government and the community to maintain speed management operations through the Speed Replacement Program. General information regarding this Invitation to Offer (ITO) are as follows: *State-wide deployment of LIDAR Speed Detection Devices will have all resources controlled by the QPS * Suitably trained Police officers will set up and operate the LIDAR Speed Detection Devices * All equipment training and operating procedures are to be fully documented by the Offeror and provide evidence of existing documentation * The supplier shall provide full training (including manuals) for police officers and technical staff in the use of and set up of the LIDAR Speed Detection Devices in the Implementation Phase of the Project * The Offeror shall indicate specific prices for LIDAR Speed Detection Devices including all accessories and outline the level for standard warranty/repairs of the equipment. The Offeror is also to supply extended warranty options and pricing * Details of specialised certification equipment and pricing for such equipment will also be outlined by the Offeror and will show the complete accuracy certification testing standard as required by the manufacturer |
