The DETE Internal Audit Branch (IAB) was established as an independent appraisal function to examine and evaluate departmental activities as a service to management.
IAB conducts a cyclical program of audits covering financial, human resources and administrative processes of all schools, TAFE Institutes, regional offices and business units within DETE. The main focus of these audits is to check that internal controls are effective, and that processes are compliant with the underlying legislation, policies and guidelines.
IAB also conducts operational audits (e.g. of specific activities and programs), information systems reviews, and other ad hoc audits and reviews.
The Principal is seeking to implement a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for a pre-qualified panel of providers of Information Systems (IS) audits to be performed in conjunction with IAB.
