Implement Diamantina Lakes Homestead Redevelopments, Design and Construction of Facilities at Diamantina National Park
The objectives of the Diamantina Lakes Homestead Redevelopments project are to implement the design and full construction of the new facilities in accordance with concepts and design details provided.
The project includes but not limited to the following works:- • Extension and modifications to existing workshop • Provision of a 3 bay storage shed • Provision of a storage/ loading dock facility • Provision of an ablutions block with toilet and shower facilities • Provision of Concrete slab for Bulk fuel storage tanks and provision of underground fuel (Diesel) line to connect to Generator. • Upgrade access to Old Store building which will house public information displays • Removal and demolition of designated old buildings and structures including bulk fuel storage tanks. • Rationalisation and upgrading of waste water treatment systems for the homestead. • Renovations to existing staff accommodation buildings (Ringers Kitchen and Ringers Quarters) • Modification of existing services where necessary and provision of services to new buildings • Provision of water filter system to replace existing flocculent dosing system which supplies non-potable water for general use at the homestead. The Diamantina Lakes Homestead is located approximately 310km (by road) south-west of Winton and is accessed by travelling the Winton-Jundah Road for approximately 110 km, take the Cork Mail Road to Old Cork Station (approximately 65 km) and follow the Diamantina River Road for approximately a further 135 km to the Diamantina Lakes Homestead.
