Motive Water System and SCC Cooling Tower Bypass
The Submerged Chain Conveyor (SCC) for each of Units 3 and 4 currently uses a single common cooling tower to eject excess heat. The aim of this project is to eliminate the need for this cooling tower by using an alternative water supply (Reclaimed Ash Water), allowing the ejecting of heat by dumping this water during high heat load periods.
The scope of work of this contract includes the design, supply, installation and pre-commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and peripheral civil works, including the removal of the existing Cooling Tower, for the Callide Power Plant – SCC Cooling Tower Bypass Project. The Works shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Specifications, Technical Data Schedules and drawings that form part of this contract.
