The Ningi suburb at Bribie Island has a vacuum sewerage system that was installed approximately 10 years ago. Over its life, the system has been prone to failure and loss of vacuum due to design flaws on some lines in the original system. This project seeks to alleviate this failure by replacing a faulty section of the vacuum line. Additionally to provide a larger construction corridor it is proposed to divert a section of rising main, currently running parallel to the vacuum sewer to be replaced.
