Bridge Strengthening Design
The Department of Transport and Main Roads is currently managing the Road-Train and B-Double Assessment Project in which specific bridge assessments are being undertaken to enhance freight transportation, issue heavy load permits and determine deficiencies on the state wide network.
The scope of this commission is to:
Develop preliminary designs for strengthening and rehabilitation of the sub structures (if required) and the superstructures of the 4 bridges listed
Design and provide Contract documents for the strengthening and rehabilitation works.
Update the Tier 1 Assessment Ratios of the strengthened bridges.
Supporting technical files will be supplied by USB stick.
