This scientific equipment will support the analysis of food, feed and animal samples for agricultural and veterinary chemicals and a range of toxins from plants, fungi and synthetic. The determination of these chemicals is important for the primary industries in Queensland both for export and domestic markets. The Department also has a role in ensuring that these chemicals are used responsibly in the State and the work of laboratory when using this scientific equipment will facilitate these objectives better that can be done with current equipment.
The system will need to deal with targeted analyses, where the aim will be to determine the amount of analyte present in samples by comparison with reference standards.
The department is seeking Offers for the supply, installation, commissioning, service and support including training of this system.
