The Central Business District (CBD) is the centrepiece of the Mackay business and leisure activities and has both cultural and heritage importance to the city and its growing population. Mackay Regional Council is seeking to revitalise a section of the CBD and is undertaking the refurbishment of Victoria Street between Gregory Street / Sydney Street and Wood Street between Gordon Street / River Street.
