Arts Queensland (AQ) is inviting suitably qualified, experienced, and licensed organisations to submit an offer for the provision of commercial Pest Control Services at the Cultural Centre, South Brisbane. This precinct incorporates Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Museum, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Gallery of Modern Art, State Library of Queensland, The Edge, three (3) Car Parks, small offices and Common Areas. Additionally services are also to be provided at other AQ properties located in Merivale Street, South Brisbane and Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley.
The initial Contract Term is for a three (3) year term commencing 1 July 2010. At the end of the initial Contract Term, should the Principal be satisfied with the Contractor’s performance, the Principal may, at its sole discretion, invite the Contractor to extend the Contract for a further period of twelve months. Such an extension may be repeated at the conclusion of this twelve month period, to a total possible Contract Period of five (5) years.
The purpose of the specification is to detail the requirements in relation to the supply of routine, periodic and additional Pest Control Services detailing the expectations and/or performance criteria expected of a Contractor supplying those services to a prestigious infrastructure asset such as the Cultural Centre & related properties. These services include a comprehensive maintenance program for all Group 1 pests (routine pest control), provision of control measures for all Group 2 pests for services on an as-required basis, relocate Group 3 pests on an as-required basis, conduct periodic services on termite bait station as well as other periodic services and conduct annual termite building inspections and treatment.
Offerors’ who do not attend this industry briefing in full, WILL NOT be eligible to submit an Offer for evaluation.

Comments: The Contract was awarded under the following entity:<br />Rentokil Pest Control (Qld) Pty Limited.<br /><br />The duration of this awarded Contract is for an initial term of 3 years commencing on 1 July 2010 and expiring 30 June 2013, whereby the Agency at its discretion has an option to extend for 2 further consecutive periods of one (1) year each prior to the expiry of the relevant term, with the total Contract Term not exceeding five (5) years. <br /><br />The estimated Contract value is collectively for the initial 1 year of the 3 year Contract Term as a Fixed Price with the 2nd & 3rd year adjusted by an estimated 4% CPI.
