Transport Infrastructure Asset Management System (TIAMS) ICT Solution and Implementation Partner
Transport Infrastructure Asset Management System (TIAMS)
This Request for Proposal (RFP) has been released as an addendum to the Preliminary Brief.
Background
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is the custodian and manager of Queensland’s largest portfolio of public assets, valued at approximately $59 billion, with associated annual expenditure of approximately $5 billion for its maintenance, rehabilitation and expansion. Over recent years, the department has undergone a number of significant changes which have contributed to an environment of fragmented business processes and numerous ICT systems. Many of these systems have been developed in-house since the 1990s, are costly to maintain and are considered legacy in nature.
What are TMR looking for?
The TIAMS Project has been initiated and is seeking a suitable Implementation Partner with a solution to provide an Asset Management System (AMS) that aligns with industry best practice. This solution will need to align with the British Standards Institution’s Publicly Available Specification 55 – 1:2008 (BSI PAS55) allowing TMR to achieve a level 3 maturity. The solution to be delivered by the Implementation Partner will include ICT system(s), supporting business processes and change management. TMR is looking for a long-term partnership with the successful Implementation Partner to source, design, implement and support the solution.
