Air Conditioning System - Southport Maritime Safety Centre
The purpose of this project is to replace the existing aged air conditioning plant at Maritime Safety Building at Southport, Queensland with an energy efficient modern equivalent. The existing Maritime Safety Building is a two storey building currently serviced by water cooled air conditioning systems and a cooling tower. For the most part the existing systems are approximately 30 years old and past their economic life. There has been some refurbishment and replacement work to some of the units but largely the systems are as per original design.
The outcome from this engagement will be the architectural design and construction documentation necessary to ensure the delivery of the project requirements. The successful consultancy will assume the role of Principal Consultant and also be required to act as Works Superintendent (within terms of appropriate legislation and regulation) during the construction period.
