King George Square Bus Station Optimisation and the City Centre Bus Infrastructure Delivery Strategy
The Eligible Customer is seeking a Successful Offeror to deliver transport planning, concept design and stakeholder engagement services for the above mentioned project.
The combined projects will undertake investigations and provide recommendations for the King George Square station, Adelaide Street corridor, Victoria Bridge, Cultural Centre and Busway Portal areas. The objectives of the combined projects is to:
Provide clarity and guidance to short and medium-term bus network and service planning within the Brisbane Inner City area
Identify viable and value-for-money infrastructure and non-infrastructure approaches that if implemented would minimise inefficiencies of bus operation
Resolve known bus capacity and constraints which currently, or will reduce the efficiency of the broader bus network,
Minimise redundancy in the network and ensure solutions are flexible and adaptable to changes in network operations as major long term infrastructure and service changes come online
Improve local bus network usability and customer experience
Catalyse improvements to the urban form and accessibility
Pioneer passenger behaviour change programs in readiness for broader rollout via the Bus and Train project
Establish agreement between authorities on a shared vision for the area, delivery objectives, responsibilities, costs and timing.
