The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry’s Tick Fever Centre produce commercial cattle vaccines under the code of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in GMP-approved facilities. The GMP code has very strict cleaning and entry requirements to minimise contamination and maintain cleanliness of the laboratory environment. The centre also has other general laboratories, office space, staff amenities and store rooms that need cleaning.
