The Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games (DTESB) is seeking an experienced consultancy service provider to deliver ‘Thinking Tourism in Land Use Planning’ through research of and evaluation of strategies to incorporate economic assessment tool(s) in the Queensland development assessment system.
This project supports the whole of government objective to grow tourism as a key pillar of the economy and aligns with the Eligible Customers strategic objectives:
Support existing strategies, objectives and actions being undertaken by DTESB.
Enable new products and experiences – streamline planning and improve facilitation for tourism and business investors.
Meet the growth target of doubling overnight tourism expenditure by the year 2020.
Supporting growth in the tourism industry through providing a range of tools to support implementation of the Next Generation Tourism Planning Guideline.
