Construction of Facilities at Lark Quarry Conservation Park

Lark Quarry Conservation Park is located 110kn south-west of Winton. The site preserves the only known fossilised dinosaur stamped. The site is a popular tourist destination where visitors can view up to 3000 preserved dinosaur footprints. The site is managed in conjunction with Winton Shire Council and is a valuable resource for the local community.

The site is accessible by 2WD vehicles and has car parking, walking tracks, Dinosaur Trackways display, an entrance information display, toilet facilities and a caretakers residence.

The existing toilets are composting (hybrid system) with an evaporative disposal system. These toilets are under capacity for this popular site and the project is to increase the toilet capacity at the site with the construction of an extension to the existing entrance building. This extension will have an additional 2 pedestals, hand basin and associated composting collection tank.
