| The objectives of the Invitation to Offer (ITO) is to seek offers from professional organisations to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement to replace existing pool filtration systems at Queensland state-owned educational facilities throughout Queensland when required.
Department of Education and Training (the Department) places significant importance on ensuring the health and safety of students and teachers and the usability of swimming pools at Queensland state-owned educational facilities. This is achieved through maintaining the condition of the swimming pools and functionality of the pool filtration systems.
There are two-hundred and eleven (211) Queensland state-owned educational facilities that have swimming pools on site. Each facility swimming pool has a filtration system that requires ongoing servicing to ensure that the pool filter system operates at an optimum level to maintain the condition and usability of the swimming pool.
A significant injection of funding provided by the State Government has provided the Department with an opportunity to complete outstanding pool maintenance through the Advancing Our Schools Maintenance Program (AoSM) for 2014 – 2015. The Department has identified eleven (11) education facilities that will benefit from the replacement of their pool filtration system as a result of the allocated funding under the AoSM Program and has prioritised these works to be completed by 30 June 2015.
The Department’s goal is to engage a suitably experienced company(s) to design and construct pool filtration systems for Queensland state-owned educational facilities throughout Queensland when required under a Standing Offer Arrangement. An initial eleven (11) educational facilities spread throughout Queensland will be utilising the arrangement with works to be completed by the 30 June 2015.
The Department’s intention is to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement to drive value through competitiveness in costs and deliver desirable levels of service whilst ensuring compliance with the Queensland Government’s standards and policies.
