Crooks and Wyndham Dam Inspections

The Department requires a supplier to visit both dams on a weekly and monthly basis and look for change. The weekly inspections are carried out by officers who should also be available for special inspections which may be required during emergency events as listed in the Emergency Action Plan (EAP). These officers are known as EAP Officers.

The weekly inspections are done by the EAP Officers and they should be familiar with what changes to look for when doing these inspections.  It is a mandatory requirement that the EAP Officers complete a Dam Surveillance course run by SunWater. The monthly inspections shall be done by an RPEQ Engineer who has also done the SunWater Dam Surveillance course.

Special inspections will be required when there are emergency events.  These inspections are the same as weekly inspections and are carried out by the EAP Officer.
