The IMU160 and SMU260 system overhauls are required during the 24 month period between May 2015 and May 2017. During this period there are 29 ‘eight year’ component overhauls and 16 ‘1.5 million kilometre’ component overhauls required out of a total fleet size of 64 units.
Part of the 1.5 million kilometre component overhaul, the IMU160 bogies require overhauling.
Queensland Rail’s Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) ongoing maintenance and fleet overhaul program also requires its bogies to be overhauled and will form a second package of work for tenderers to submit offers.
Business intereste in tendering are required to read, sign and return the ‘Confidentiality Deed and Deed of Disclaimer’ to the tendering officer in order to receive specification drawings and standards associated with this tender.
