| RQ’s current infrastructure is leased and this lease expires in 2015. The infrastructure covered by this lease is 5 years old and needs to be replaced to allow RQ to leverage improvements in technology at both the hardware and software level and to minimise the risk of failure.
Infrastructure in this context refers to:
- Servers
- Network switches and routers
- PC Desktops
- Server and desktop operating system software and office productivity software
- Data services (Network links)
The current contract for RQ’s data network and disaster recovery services is aligned to this and will expire at the same time.
This Request for tender (RFT) has been prepared to request a tender for the supply of IT infrastructure, data network and services to replace Racing Queensland’s current assets and resources in this respect.
