This Request for Quotation (RFQ) relates to development of a ‘Guide to Tourism Investment in Queensland’ (referred to as the Guide).
The Tourism Investment Attraction Unit within the Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games (DTESB) is the government agency tasked to promote and attract investment into the state’s tourism infrastructure. The priority areas of focus have included Brisbane CBD hotels, short-term accommodation, resorts, island resorts and leisure attractions.
Against this background, the government is placing an increased focus on regional investment attraction and job growth. Part of this approach is the development of an investment proposal designed to increase awareness of tourism infrastructure investment opportunities throughout Queensland.
The Guide will be used as a promotional tool to stimulate domestic and international investor interest. The Queensland Government has an international network of Trade and Investment Offices strategically located in key locations such as China, Hong Kong, Japan, Abu Dhabi and London. The Guide will be promoted through these networks as well as through DTESB’s key stakeholder networks with local and federal government. As part of the government’s focus on emerging markets, particularly China, it is planned to release a separate Chinese language version of the Guide.
