Modelling services ? Large Referable Farm Dams Assessments Program (LRFDAP)

In 2005 the Department of Energy and Water Supply  through its Water Supply Division, Dam Safety commenced a broad scale surveillance program of water bodies in Queensland to identify potential dams of interest requiring dam safety assessments for potential regulation.  The program concluded in 2013 and identified 190 dams of interest.

Many of these dams now require preliminary failure impact modelling assessments to be undertaken to determine if a reasonable belief exists for these newly identified dams to have downstream population at risk, in the event that one of the dams were to fail.
There are now 148 preliminary failure impact assessments which require completion as part of the second stage of the Large Referable Farm Dams Assessment Program (LRFDAP).  There is a commitment to finalise these modelling jobs by December 2016 therefore, the Eligible Customer is seeking to engage an experienced contractor for modelling assessment services.

The proposed work consists of five phases over 30 business days each (approximately 14 September 2015 – 5 September 2016), where at least 15 models are to be completed during each phase.
