Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Service Reform Project
The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services (the department) is seeking to engage suitably qualified persons, organisations or consortia to:
Plan and undertake a project to inform the implementation of the Queensland Government’s response to recommendations 11.2 and 11.11 of the Inquiry’s report
Engage with relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and government and non-government organisations
Provide advice to the department about
the adequacy of universal, early intervention and family support services to support families to care safely for their children;
effective and efficient strategies to improve how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families access existing universal, early intervention and family support services to support families to care safely for their children in selected discrete communities;
key components and service delivery mechanisms to form part of a trial or trials of community based intake and referral processes and differential responses in selected discrete communities.
