Palm Island Desalination Project - Design Construction Drawings and Peer Review Options Report
A contractor is required to undertake the development and certification, (by a registered engineer), of design construction drawings for the infrastructure works - including intake and discharge pipelines, diffusers and intake valves, and pipework connections to and from the desalination plant and into the existing town mains - associated with the installation and commissioning of a desalination plant on Palm Island.
The contractor will also review design variations and options identified through a peer review process already undertaken, including options identified for a floating discharge pipeline and a barge-mounted desalination plant. The contractor will provide a report identifying the cost variations of these options and commenting on their operational suitability.
