LCAs of Biofuels for Sustainability Criteria
The Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) are needed to inform identification of appropriate and sustainable practices in growing a biofuels industry in Queensland. Specifically, the LCAs will support development by the department of ‘sustainability criteria’. These criteria are to be prescribed by regulation under the Act and be applied to those biofuels likely to be used to meet the minimum sales percentages of biofuels mandated by the Act.
