The Quandamooka People (represented by Quandoomooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation – QYAC) and the State (represented by Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service – QPWS) jointly manage the Indigenous Joint Management Areas (IJMAs) on Minjerribah and Teerk Roo Ra under an Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) and more specifically an Indigenous Management Agreement (IMA). They are required to jointly manage the IMJAs in accordance with the management principles set out in the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and in a way that is consistent with Aboriginal Tradition as applicable to the IJMA.
