Intensive Family Support Stage 3 - North and Far North Queensland
The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services (the department) provides funding to non-government organisations to support vulnerable families to address multiple and/or complex needs and build their capacity to safely care for and protect their children. This investment aims to strengthen the protective factors within the family to ensure vulnerable children and young people can safely live at home, and for families to:
become stronger and more resilient
have improved life skills
be safe and protected from harm.
Intensive Family Support (IFS) is a consent-based program that responds to vulnerable families with children and young people (unborn – under 18 years) who are at high risk of involvement in the statutory child protection system.
Please note: the Department will be closed from the 24 December 2015 until 4 January 2016.
