Bowen Boat Harbour Entrance Channel Aids to Navigation Upgrade - 2016
The Queensland Government is seeking tenders to undertake the Bowen Boat Harbour Entrance Channel Aids to Navigation Upgrade works.
The main items of work are as follows:
Supply and fabricate four 356 mm diameter x 12.7 mm thick mild steel pile.
Transport piles and beacon components to work site.
Handle, pitch and drive four 356 mm diameter piles.
Supply, fabricate and galvanize five pile caps.
Cut off five piles at correct height and install weld-on pile caps.
Salvage the port daymark from the No. 2 Beacon and deliver to the MSQ yard in Bowen Boat Harbour.
Supply and install Denso Steelcoat 100 protection system or approved equivalent to pile cap and pile cap splice weld to five beacons.
Supply and install Denso Seashield 2000FD pile protection system or approved equivalent to five beacons.
Supply, fabricate and install five 1400 mm diameter work platforms complete with platform mounted daymark frame, port or starboard lateral daymark and lamp stand.
Supply, fabricate and install galvanized steel ladders to five beacons, complete with clamps to the orientation on the beacon as shown on the Drawings.
Supply all fasteners including aluminium bolts, u-bolts, nuts and washers; Grade 316 stainless bolts, nuts and washers; galvanized mild steel bolts, nuts and washers; and all bolt insulation products.
Supply a registered Surveyor to set out replacement beacon positions and pile cut-off height.
This contract does not include:
The supply and installation of the navigation lights.
