This project was tendered in November 2015 as GCWA52700002. But as a result of post tendering community consultation by GCWA, the design dredge depth was changed, the beach nourishment profile was lowered, and a secondary nourishment area was defined. This scope change was significant to warrant a new inviation to tender and it is now being re-tendered as GCWA52700002A with revised Statutory Approvals and design drawings.
The Queensland Government is seeking tenders from suitable qualified dredging contractors to undertake dredging of the Main Channel North (north of Jacobs Well and south of the Tabby Tabby Channel) at Cabbage Tree Point (CTP) within the City of Gold Coast and to deposit the dredged material as beach nourishment on the adjacent foreshore. The expected volume to be dredged is 15,700 cubic metres and the maximum payable depth is -2.7m on LAT.
For detailed information on the works under this tender, please review the Section 5 - Specification and associated appendices in the Tender Document.
