Real-time Digital Performance Acquisition System
The Queensland University of Technology (QUT), has a requirement for a Real-time Digital Performance Acquisition System – Motion Capture System.
Descriptive specification: QUT require a performance capture solution that enables the simultaneous capture and recording of the broad actions, facial expression and finger articulation of 4 actors in a 15m L x 13m W x 5.2m H volume. The system must be configurable and operable by a single user, portable, scalable and offer a real-time preview of the captured data along with streaming of that data to alternative real-time 3D software packages and network addresses. In addition to this minimum functionality we expect the system to be compatible with the workflows and systems of commercial animation, games and visual effects studios.
