Queensland Rail has a requirement for an external panel to provide Safety Services (excluding Rail Safety) support to the business areas of Queensland Rail on an as needed basis.
This requirement is to provide expert advice in specific disciplines concerned with optimising workplace environments, systems, and technologies to best meet the requirements of Queensland Rail.
Successful Tenders will be required to provide services in some or all of the following categories:
General Workplace Health & Safety Services
Electrical Safety
Occupational Hygiene
There will be no guarantee of frequency of work and no exclusivity to the arrangement. Requests for services will be dependant on the skill set within the specific disciplines of Safety Services relevant to the project, process, or review being undertaken by Queensland Rail.
Queensland Rail’s commitment to safety is reflected in our goal of having a “Relentless commitment to Zero Harm”. Queensland Rail operates a complex sociotechnical operational safety system and recognises the need to invest further in external expertise to provide a range of safety advice and services to become world class in safety.
Due to the wide scope of safety expertise required, a Safety Services panel is required to provide specific expertise to the varied operational areas of Queensland Rail where appropriate.
