| The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for the Abbot Point State Development Area Road Options Development Project.
The Office of the Coordinator-General is committed to working in partnership with key stakeholders at Abbot Point to ensure a coordinated approach to the development of key infrastructure within the Abbot Point State Development Area (APSDA) and to service the Port of Abbot Point (the Port).
There are a range of projects being progressed in the APSDA and at the Port. To reduce the likelihood of potentially inefficient incremental intersection and infrastructure upgrades on the Bruce Highway, a strategic approach to road access arrangements in the APSDA is required.
The intent of this project is to provide a strategic review of road access requirements and arrangements from the Bruce Highway to the APSDA and Port with a particular focus on the Bruce Highway and Abbot Point Road intersection for both the existing corridor and future western corridor
