The vessel is required by the Department of National Parks Sport and Racing (NPSR) to fulfil the day-to-day management role performing a range of tasks including; Marine Park and Island National Park management, Diving and research in Queensland. The vessel will operate in restricted offshore, smooth and partially smooth waters. It shall be designed to carry a minimum of eight (8) persons in most sea and wind conditions prevalent in Queensland coastal waters. As a minimum, the vessel must be designed to operate in significant wave heights of 1.5 metres at all angles of encounter, at a speed of 25 knots.
Delivery of the vessel is to be to Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, Manly, Brisbane.
