Priority port of Abbot Point risk assessment

Preparation of a risk assessment to inform the content of the environmental management framework (EMF) within the master plan for the priority port of Abbot Point.

The final report will incorporate a comprehensive risk assessment built on the background originally developed in the earlier environmental, social and cultural assessment report prepared for the priority port of Abbot Point. The assessment will use the risk assessment and OUV identification methodologies supplied by the Department of State Development (DSD).

The final report will be based on detailed analysis including identification of potential new onsite investigations where significant gaps exist in the understanding of environmental values, impacts and mitigation. It is expected that workshops will be held with an agreed range of public and private stakeholders to investigate, test and resolve issues arising during the preparation of the risk assessment.

It is expected that the report will include findings and suggested actions for the development of management requirements to inform the development of priority management measures as required under the Strategic Ports Development Act 2015 and other actions to enable the development of the environmental management framework and port overlay.
