Sewage Pump Station SPS-LMT001 currently contains one duty/assist pump station (Well 1) delivering sewage to the Kawana Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The upgrade works include development of a new ‘high lift’ pump station (SPS-LMT002, Well 2), and converting SPS-LMT001 (Well 1) to a ‘low lift’ pump station, pumping directly into SPS-LMT002. The purpose of the upgrade is to increase the overall capacity of the pumping system.

The scope of this Contract involving the conversion of the existing emergency storage to a new high lift pump station (SPS-LMT002) conversion of existing pump station (SPS-LMT001) to a low lift pump station and all ancillary works. It includes the supply of all non-Principal supplied material, the demolition of components of the existing facility and construction of works necessary to complete the facility upgrade.

A preliminary works contract will be undertaken to construct a new Energex 11 kV substation at the site; temporarily connect it to the existing switchboard; and remove the existing site pad transformer. These works will be completed prior to the hand-over of the site the Contractor.

SPS-CAL001 Scope of Works

Sewage Pump Station SPS-CAL001 currently contains one duty/assist pump station delivering sewage to the Kawana Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) through the common CSTS rising main. The upgrade works include the replacement of the pumps within the existing well with units of a higher discharge head capacity. The purpose of the upgrade is to enable the pumps to operate against a higher discharge head that will occur in the CSTS common rising main as a result of the SPS-LMT001 upgrade.
