Criminal Justice System and Remand Process Mapping Project

The Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG) is seeking the services of an experienced supplier to undertake the Criminal Justice System and Remand Process Mapping project and provide recommendations and straegies on the most appropriate approach for the future.

An opportunity exists to build on previous mapping work (which mapped part of the criminal justice system processes) by continuing the mapping from committal in the Magistrates Court through to verdict/sentencing in the Supreme or District Court, documenting the whole process, identifying problems and opportunities for reform and demonstrating potential benefits of acting on problems and/or opportunities.  It is expected that the contractor will consult with all relevant stakeholders using human centred design techniques.
