The Queensland Government has funded a number of initiatives to support service providers to prepare for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). These initiatives have been varied, but generally directed at existing Queensland service providers. While there has been a focus on small to medium sized disability organisations and rural and remote areas, specifically targeting thin markets, new and broader service providers, and broader social and economic outcomes for these areas has been less of a focus.
To address this gap, Disability Services is seeking to engage an organisation to identify, develop and implement strategies that will assist existing and new organisations in rural and remote locations to identify and take advantage of business opportunities that will arise with the implementation of the NDIS in Queensland.
