Mary Valley Lands Environmental Land Uses
A report is required outlining the capacity for the Mary Valley to provide opportunities to fulfil government priorities such as environmental protection, koala habitat, riparian protection, endangered species protection, environmental offsets and carbon offsets.
This advice is required for the development of a detailed disposal strategy for the Mary Valley Land. While DIP is responsible for developing the disposal strategy, your expertise is required to make informed decisions in the development of that strategy. The Government has made public statements and commitments to not adversely affect the real estate market in the Mary Valley.
Those properties which can be identified to fulfil other government priorities will only be released for sale once provisions have been put in place to realise its potential.
The Department is aware that there are potentially several larger scale properties that may have the potential to operate as commercial farming enterprises. Therefore, advice is also required to identifying those properties and potential environmental impacts on the farming enterprise.
