The Queensland Government Insurance Fund (QGIF), Queensland Treasury is seeking proposals to engage a suitably experienced reinsurance broker with the requisite skills and in-depth knowledge of domestic and international markets to provide the most cost effective and appropriate insurance solution to protect the State’s assets and liabilities against major and catastrophic losses, as well as provide natural hazard modelling to assist QGIF in the allocation of the premium to insured Agencies.
The scope of services includes:
Advice on QGIF’s reinsurance options
Catastrophe and Natural Hazard perils modelling
Placement of the authorised reinsurance programs and monitoring material changes in the operation and financial security of appointed reinsurers
Coordination of the settlement of any claims recoveries on behalf of QGIF
Provision of general insurance information and advice regarding emerging and/or topical issues that impact on QGIF or the Queensland community.
