View Contract Details

Contract Scope:

Enter into a joint management arrangement Fee Offer under Clause 17 of the IMA to upgrade of 64.95 km of Priority 1 Fire Trails in Naree Budjong Djara National Park and Naree Budjong Djara and Conservation Park, through:

1. Providing a cultural heritage assessment of proposed works and identifying any required monitoring of proposed works
2. Supply specialised heavy plant as required including:
   1. a 20 to 30 tonne excavator with mulching head, or similar
   2. a 15 to 20 tonne front drum mega mulcher, or similar
   3. a 4 to 10 tonne positrack with a front drum mulching head, or similar
   4. suitable positrack, dozer or excavator for earthworks as required
   5. all heavy equipment transport to worksites
3. Providing vegetation management and earthworks services including :
   1. Vegetation mulching on, and adjacent to, identified Priority 1 fire trails
   2. In accordance with the North Stradbroke Island Fire Control Line Standards Class 2, 3 or 4 as identified in Section 6, Schedule 1, and Section 2.3, Schedule 2
   3. Drainage earthworks as required
4. Upgrading the identified Priority 1 Firelines to enable on-going safe access for
   1. environmental monitoring of natural and cultural heritage values, and
   2. joint management operational fire and pest management programs
5. Continuing capacity building of QPWS and QYAC personnel working in the IJMA.
